Woodall Mountain is the highest point in Mississippi and stands at 806 ft above sea level. This elevation puts Woodall Mountain at position 47 for the highest peaks in the United States. The peak prominence for Woodall is 296 ft. and its isolation is 12.46 miles. Woodall Mountain was originally called Yow Hill. The hike to the top of the Mountain is approximately 1 mile. One can drive to the summit as well. The mountain was involved in the American Civil War - the Battle of Luka.
